The Bird of Paradise flower, also known as the Strelitzia, is widely grown on Tenerife due to the subtropical climate and it is therefore known as the national symbol.

This mosaic beautifully displays the vibrant colours that stand proud against the large green leaves.  The vitreous glass tiles have been individually hand cut to build up the shape and form of this stunning flower.  They have been cemented onto the cement board and then finished with a white grout which shows off the colours to the maximum. White grout also covers the four sides of the cement board.  The cement board is visible at the back.

It can be displayed outdoors.
