This mosaic depicts the view of La Gomera Island, one of Spain´s Canary Islands in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Africa.

The sky displays glorious rich orange and yellow vitreous and iridescent streaked glass tiles.  The palm tree, native to the Canary Islands archipelago, is the pride of the inhabitants and a well-known symbol to tourists enjoying holidays there.  Brown vitreous tiles, used to create the palm tree, stand proud against the beautiful mosaic sea.

The tiles have been hand cut and glued onto the thick wooden board.  They have been finished with a white grout.

The edges and base of the wooden board have been painted with a white glossy paint to give an elegant finish.

This beautiful mosaic can be placed on a shelf, used to stand items on or hung as a decorative piece.
